I think we ought to read only the kind of books that wound and stab us. If the book we are reading doesn’t wake us up with a blow on the head, what are we reading it for? We need the books that affect us like a disaster, that grieve us deeply, like the death of someone we loved more than ourselves, like being banished into forests far from everyone, like a suicide. A book must be the axe for the frozen sea inside us.

Kaori of Grimoire, from DropTokyo.com
This is a really great example of “everyday” dolly kei that you could wear to work or really anywhere.

Polaire, or Émilie Marie Bouchaud! A French actress, she had a 14” waist, first bobbed her hair in the 1890s, and had a nose piercing. She acted in plays and films. I’ve never been able to find one of her films, but some of her music is available online.

Aaah and another round.

Oh my travelling and visas, I feel like my whole life consists out of studying languages, travelling, and visas. oh fashion, I almost forgot.

Anyways, this is kind of a quick way for me to keep track of some links:

I am really considering these skype lessons since they are defin. the easiest and cheapest private lessons you can find. Funnily enough I looked and group courses assuming I would end up saving money and duh- no way. They were still like $25 an hour (and that is a membership prize). So yeah…what do we think?

I have to study by myself anyways in order to take classes. I thought about making my goal to know all Hiragana and Katakana again by Monday.

Aaaah. This feels like the old days.

Paperwork, here I come.
